Advanced Open Water and Silver Star Advanced

Two advanced diving courses available in a single series of dives and lectures.

Already have your Advanced Open Water certification? See the inset on the right.

The YMCA's Advanced Open Water and Silver Star Advanced diving courses are combined in this program to offer you a variety of skill development opportunities. A variety of dives in different environments (each with a specialized focus) will be available during the year. In addition, the five classroom lectures (required for the Silver Star Advanced Certification), can be attended in any order. You need not have completed the requirements for Advanced Open Water before benefiting from attending these lectures.

Advanced Open Water Divers !!

The Advanced Open Water certification (consisting of 5 supervised dives) makes up 1/3 of this program. If you already have Advanced Open Water, you can immediately start working on the lectures and dives required for the Silver Star Advanced certification.
